This listing is for straight run, one day old French Black Copper Maran chicks. There is a minimum requirement of 6 chicks per order but you can mix and match any breeds you like!

French Black Copper Marans are a beautiful breed known for their black feathering, copper hackle feathers, feathered feet and gorgeous dark brown eggs. Our Black Copper Marans have a very dark egg gene like the pictures attached. They lay several shades darker than one older BCM we have from Hoovers Hatchery. They around 200 of these dark chocolate brown eggs per year.

AND Feather Lovers Farm. Both hatcheries boast of imported National Champion Black Copper Maran bloodlines! We strive to bring our customers the highest quality chickens and breed them to be as close SOP standards as possible. BCM's are also sad to have the best tasting eggs in the world and can be used as meat birds too.
*We do not sex our chickens unless they are an auto-sexing breed, Black Copper Marans are not an auto-sexing breed, so they are sold straight run. This means that you have a possibility of getting all females, all males or a mixture of both.
Shipping:
Chicks will be shipped to your local post office, they will not be delivered to your home. Once the chicks arrive, the post office should call you, but sometimes they don't. So it is your responsibility to watch the tracking and pick the chicks up when you see them in your town. You will need to pick them up the same day, within 4 hours of them arriving at your post office. Once you get them home, put them under a heat lamp and provide chick starter and water. If there are any chicks dead upon delivery you must message us by the end of the delivery date with photos of damaged packaging and/or dead chicks. We do our best to send healthy, happy chicks and get them to you as quickly as possible. Free local pickup is also available. Marek’s disease vaccine
is also available for an additional fee of $40. Please add the Marek’s Disease vaccine to your cart when you checkout, there is a separate listing for it under the Day Old Chicks section.
You may request to cancel your order for a full refund within 24 hours of your purchase. All orders will be shipped within 30 days of the hatch month you choose. If you select “May” then we have through June to ship your order out. We try our best to get all orders out in a timely manner but sometimes circumstances or weather can put us behind.
