If you order the interior solar light as an add-on to your chicken coop it will be installed inside the actual house. This light has 3 different light settings and can be set on a timer with the remote. 
The light is not a heat source, it is simply a light. The purpose is to prolong daylight hours during the darker winter months so that your hens will keep laying eggs throughout the winter.
